The football boot hailed as the best ever by many in the game deserves an ambassador to match. So it makes perfect sense that Adidas has enlisted the beautiful game’s biggest name for the re-release of the Predator Precision. No, not Ian Holloway, but David Beckham.
England’s ex-skipper shot the boots to fame during the Euro 2000 tournament, and it’s only fair to assume that he’ll come full circle with the sports brand’s limited batch of reissued kicks.
These boots sum up the childhood of many a budding footballer. Every one who tucked that over-the-laces tongue up and over believed they could bend a free kick in from 30 yards.
So, 25 years on from their initial release, adidas are back with more of the cult boot.
Zidane wore the Predator Accelators in 1998 and the redesign gives a “refreshed look and pay homage to his Ballon d’Or success” of the same year.
